Choosing a blank

There are many blanks to choose from. You need to choose one that is as close to your ideal finished surfboard as possible. Take your measuring tape and calipers to shop for a blank. Nowadays, you can even custom order with your requirements. Also, the density of the blank is very important to consider. The denser, the stronger and of course your board will last longer. If you are one of those guys who wants to rip in small waves and doesn’t mind breaking a board every few months, get the lesser density.
